Saturday morning: what's your preference?

I've never really had the traditional Canadian breakfast, despite having visited Toronto on a fair few occassions. Somehow, it's always ended up being dimsum brunch! I guess some traditions never change and if you're Chinese- you really do prefer Chinese food! Well...at least for my grandfather!

I've just started to go to a pastorate that meets every couple of weeks on a Saturday morning. We meet at a different person's house each time and they have the responsibility of preparing breakfast. Wer'e a pretty international bunch of people from different backgrounds. Yesterday was at Jonathan and Leanne's place; Canadians. 

Next to the continental favourites of crossiants, yoghurt and fruit was the Canadian alternative:

 

Pancakes- these were gluten free and rather amazingly made with peanut butter and banana!

Scrambled eggs- you can never go wrong with eggs for breakfast!

Crispy bacon

MMMM.......and no breakfast would be complete without the good old cup of tea!

A great start to the weekend- especially when enjoyed in fellowship with other like-minded people.
