Sherbet straws

Proper old school!
I haven't seen these things for years! I remember having these at primary school!

For those who don't know, these brightly coloured straws are filled with a fizzy sugary acidic powder, that you literally pour into your mouth. Nutiritionally ridiculous. But it's SO good!

Apparently the word sherbet is originally from the Turkish or Persian word for to drink. I've never really thought about it, but in Kurdish, sherbet means juice. Ummm....love the etymology of words sometimes...everything is somehow linked together!
