Om Mohammed's 'Arok Mosul'

A meaty snack that is perfect served as part of a main meal, or for 'tea-time'!!

This dish is named after Mosul (Ninevah) in Iraq because it originates from that area. It has a fatty minced lamb bulgar wheat base, with a layer of tomato and egg on the top. The dish is baked and then grilled to produce an extremely flavoursome dish.

RECIPE for AROK MOSUL

STEP 1: Blend the minced lamb meat with salt, black pepper, bulgar wheat, onion, and cumin powder.

Spread the mixture evenly in a pre-buttered dish

STEP 2: Mix ghee, tomato paste, ketchup, and egg together to form a paste

Spread the tomato mixture over the meat

STEP 3: Bake in oven for about 20-25 minutes until cooked. Gril until a little browned on the top

STEP 4: Cut into squares and serve!
