Zahra's 'Chicken with Peppers'

This is an easy dish to make, that can form part of a normal lunch or dinner. It's very quick to make and is really tasty; especially with all of the juices from the chicken. It goes particularly well with rice.


STEP 1: Wash a chicken breast well, and allow the water to drain. This is important if you don't want the dish to be too watery. Chop into cubes.

STEP 2: Slice an onion into rings. Fry in a little olive oil until softened. 

 STEP 3: Add the chicken to the pan and mix well. Allow the chicken to cook.

Add salt, pepper, turmeric, and garlic powder to the chicken and stir to mix well.

STEP 4:  Slice some peppers and cherry tomoates.

STEP 5: Add the vegetables to the pan and mix.

Cover with cloth and lid to keep in the steam and to prevent the water from condensing back into the dish. Allow to cook for about 10 minutes.
